Arthur Miller’s The Crucible returned to Broadway in a new production directed by the acclaimed Belgian director Ivo van Hove, which earned four Tony Award nominations including Best Revival of a Play. Set during the Salem witch trials of the 1690s, The Crucible is a timeless parable of morality, a scorching indictment of intolerance, and a central work in the canon of American drama.
Who’s Who in the Cast: Academy Award nominee Saoirse Ronan as Abigail Williams and BAFTA Award winner Ben Whishaw as John Proctor. They were joined onstage by Ciaran Hinds, Sophie Okonedo, Tavi Gevinson and Jim Norton.
