The sun shone during Annie’s esteemed run at the Palace Theatre.   The eternally optimistic orphan made a glorious comeback in a world-class, Tony-nominated revival.  The original production, which opened April 21, 1977 at the Alvin Theater, was based on the beloved newspaper comic strip “Little Orphan Annie,” and won 7 Tony Awards including Best Musical.  In honor of Annie’s faithful pup Sandy, the revival’s landmark partnership with Pedigree raised more than $1 million to help pets in need.

Who’s Who in the Cast: Lilla Crawford as Annie, Anthony Warlow as Daddy Warbucks, and Katie Finneran as Miss Hannigan.

Notable replacements included Jane Lynch and Faith Prince as Miss Hannigan, and Ron Raines as Daddy Warbucks.
